Pastoral Prayer
|
|
"Let us now go before the Lord with
our morning prayer." |
"O heavenly Father,
we now draw near to You, with all holy
reverence and confidence, as children to a
father, able and ready to help us.
We begin our prayer by hallowing Your holy
name,
by praying that You will enable us and
others to glorify You in all that whereby
You make Yourself known
and that You will dispose all things to
Your own glory."
|
"We pray, O Heavenly
Father, Your kingdom come;
Your will be done in earth as it is in
heaven.
May Satan's kingdom be destroyed.
May the kingdom of grace be advanced,
ourselves and others brought into it and
kept in it.
May the kingdom of glory be hastened.
By Your grace, make us able and willing to
know, obey and submit to Your will in all
things as the angels do in heaven."
"We pray for Your kingdom to come in
our lives as individual Christians."
"We pray that You will bless our
local church."
"We pray that You will bring revival
to our nation."
"We pray that Your gospel will go out
to all the nations of the world and
transform them."
"We pray for the persecuted
church."
"We pray for the civil authorities
whom You have put over our nation."
|
"We also pray, give
us this day our daily bread.
We pray that, of Your free gift, we may
receive a competent portion of the good
things of this life and enjoy Your
blessing with them."
"We pray for all who are in trouble,
sorrow, need, sickness, or any other
adversity,
that You in Your mercy would comfort and
sustain them." |
"Heavenly Father,
forgive us our debts as we forgive our
debtors.
We pray that You, for Christ's sake, will
freely pardon all our sins,
which we are the rather encouraged to ask
because by Your grace we are enabled from
the heart to forgive others."
|
"We pray that You
will lead us not into temptation but
deliver us from evil.
We pray that You will either keep us from
being tempted to sin
or support and deliver us when we are
tempted."
|
| |
"We pray this prayer
in Jesus' Name,
and in testimony of our desire and
assurance to be heard,
we say, AMEN. |
